Red Hat Global Desktop Linux - Delayed

So evidentially Red Hat believes it’s in the midst of creating an OS that will compete with Microsoft and perhaps put a new hand in the OS industry.

Red Hat is already a leading Linux flavor; one of the sole downsides in my opinion is it’s commercial. That’s what makes most Linux user’s who and what they are: their desire and urning for free and open source software.

Will Red Hat make the dent they’re hoping to make? I honestly cannot see any existing Linux users (besides those already using Red Hat) going out and buying it. If a user is willing to do that, then they’re likely willing to buy the current Red Hat distro, seeing how it has been commercial for some time now.

But will Windows or Apple users move over to this new Red Hat OS? Again, I don’t see this happening either. I think the numbers will be too far small and in between.

This will prove mighty interesting in my opinion.
