Top 5 Black Hats

It’s funny how I found this just after I found Mitnick’s business card and made the post claiming him as one of the most famous hackers. This article happens to list him as number one.

I’m not really a fan of the term “black hat”; nor “grey hat” and “white hat”. A hacker is a hacker; label them as such and nothing else. Who cares if they break security protocols for their own good or if they break them for the good of everyone else. A “black hat” is just as respectable and admirable as a “white hat”. They merely have different perceptions on what they should use their desire for knowledge on.

But in any case, the article is a good read.
